12DailyPro: Five Months Later

Posted in Auto Surfs at 9:52 pm by admin

It has been just over five months since I have written about the autosurf Ponzi-scheme 12DailyPro which took over the Internet by storm in 2005. Just as I had predicted, all came crumbling down around February 2006 when the operator Charis Johnson took her money and ran.

It is estimated that between $350 and $500 million was taken in the process, emptying the pockets of thousands and causing enormous headaches for credit card companies across the globe handling tens of thousands of chargebacks. Since 12DailyPro closed its doors, the FBI, SEC and IRS have been extensively investigating the site, and there have even been talks that you may be able to declare your 12DailyPro losses in your next-years tax return.

I find it funny that when one site like this goes down, ten more pop up the next day, mostly operating from offshore islands where laws for this type of scheme either aren’t well defined, or aren’t well enforced. Sites like TalkGold simply fuel the fire and hype up these get rich quick schemes.

Making money takes effort — as the saying goes, nothing worth having comes without some kind of fight. Please, take this advice to your blogging too. I have received many emails from people asking how to make money quick from starting a blog. Blogging for profit, like any other activity for profit takes time, patience, knowledge and hard work. Keep at it and you will succeed.

Staying clear of 12DailyPro for a while..

Posted in Auto Surfs at 4:53 pm by admin

I’ve been following the latest events between 12DailyPro and StormPay and it all seems a bit too sketchy for me. After writing my last post about 12DailyPro, I decided to wait for a pending cashout to clear to my StormPay account before putting anything more into the scheme (it wasn’t much money, just referral earnings). This cashout never happened, and shortly after all hell broke loose between 12DailyPro and StormPay.

It seems that the end for 12DP is near. Just as a precaution, I have ordered a full withdrawl of my StormPay account. I somehow just don’t give them as much trust as I would a PayPal or another online money transfer system.

Trying 12DailyPro again..

Posted in Auto Surfs at 12:19 pm by admin

Well I’ve decided to test my luck in 12DailyPro again, this time with the house’s money. I am redepositing the $110 profit made from my first two rounds and will take back my initial investment. Now that it’s risk free, I’m going to see how long I can ride this hundred bucks.

12DailyPro Payment Received

Posted in Auto Surfs at 11:17 am by admin

It’s a scam, I know. For now though, it seems to be a well-paying scam. From the $300 I “invested” in 12DailyPro about two weeks ago, I received a StormPay payment last night for $432.

My $300 ended up costing me $310.03 ($300 + $1 donation) + 3% credit card fee. And of the $432 received, $30.50 was taken off as StormPay fees, leaving me $401.50. After all is taken into consideration, I made $91.47 and a gain of 29.5% in about 19 days.

Not too shabby if you ask me. Yes, I know it’s a scam and I’m not sure if I will test my luck with one more round or not. Just remember, it’s all luck. One day soon, 12DailyPro will run with their money. It’s just the nature of the beast.

Would you put $3000 in 12DailyPro?

Posted in Auto Surfs at 12:53 am by admin

I just found out that the person who initially told me about 12DailyPro now has $3000 in it. I’m not so sure if I would do that myself. Heh. Still waiting for my $432 cashout (which should turn into $354 once all the StormPay fees are added up).

It’s from people like him were 12DailyPro will take their money when the doors shut.

Autosurfs – Ponzi Scheme or Investment?

Posted in Auto Surfs at 1:58 pm by admin

Okay, so we all know that Autosurfs aren’t real investments, however that doesn’t mean that you can’t make some quick cash from them.

About seven weeks back, a buddy of mine sent me a link to 12dailypro.com and told me to sign up, saying he already got paid. I just ignored it and tried to explain to him that it was a scam. There’s no free lunch, right?

Well a couple weeks went by, and then he called me and said he’d been paid again. Obviously he wasn’t lying to me, so I started to wonder if I could make anything from this site. So cautiously I put $78 in (13 upgrade units at $6 each. yeah, I already know it sounds like a scam), thinking “whatever, it’s just the same as a night at the casino”.

So 19 days later, I received a payment to my StormPay account of $102.96, or about a 32% return on my initial $78 “investment”. After the high transfer fees StormPay charges (they’re the only money transfer service 12DailyPro takes) my $78 investment ended up costing me $80.34 and out of my $102.96 payment, I only received $95.17.

Even still, this is a little over an 18% return in 19 days, which is far better than my Ameritrade account is doing. It’s a scam, I know, but I just put another $300 into it. Hopefully I can beat the game before they go under.
