WordZe: An excellent new keyword search tool
I recently had the chance to check out WordZe, a new keyword research tool aimed at helping those in the affiliate marketing business. WordZe offers many interesting and useful tools to analyze keyword search trends, to find competitive sites given certain keywords, and many others.
I have been thinking of developing a few websites related to flowers to take advantage of search traffic for events such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc and used the tools WordZe had to offer to refine my ideas. In particular, I was interested to know the search volume for the word “color”, pertaining to flower, or more in particularly rose colors. Using WordZe’s keyword trends search feature, I was able to obtain some interesting results:
Here are the search trends for the word “color” for November, 2006.

And here are the search trends for the word “color” for February, 2007.

It’s clear that there’s a huge spike in search volume for the word “color” just before Valentine’s day — A clever blog post on February 10th about the meanings of rose colors could bring in some nice affiliate flower purchases.
The next feature of WordZe which impressed me was the keyword misspell search. Using this tool, I found that the most common misspelling of “flower” is “clower”, followed by “lower”, “fpower”, “foower”, and “flowee”.
From my experiences with the site, I can see that it would be quite useful for anyone in Internet affiliate marketing, or wanting to better optimize their site for search keywords. I’d definitely recommend checking them out, and to try at least the one-day membership.
Hi,
Very good site, I would also recommend that the misspell tool be used to find domain names to park(which is one of my favorite businesses)… just a thought
Great stuff. Thanks for continuing to help us all make a little $$$. You always have great ideas.
Even more useful when you know that Inventory searches at Overture (formely Yahoo) is now unsupported. You can only look in the searches of January. So using Yahoo tool, you can not see trends like this one.
Anyway, I generally prefer to look at global trends, expressed by week. You can not say that a spike in just a day can be significant. But, if you see an increment from a week to another, then you can say that something is happening.
This is very interesting. I will have to take a look at season keywords to see if it will help generate some traffic.
Cool stuff, i will try it soon.
Nice post, thanks for sharing!
Just added this blog to my google bookmark….
