Why I LOVE Text Link Ads!
I spent a good part of my day today researching new advertising networks such as Clicksor, and AdSonar to see if they are worthwhile experimenting with on CyberWyre. For those of you who have been readers since the beginning, you probably remember me talking about Text Link Ads (TLA) for some time now. Since discovering TLA, I have not found another advertising program which has given me a higher, and more stable monthly income than they have. For over a year now, I have been able to maintain a good monthly income from TLA, with payments received promptly on the first of every month via PayPal. I have also not been able to find a suitable replacement for them which will give a higher income.
This has lead me to the conclusion that I LOVE Text Link Ads!
I’ve been using Text Link Ads since March 2006, and have nothing but positive things to say about them. I have had many direct email conversations with the president of TLA, Patrick Gavin, and can tell that he genuinely cares about his users, and takes an effort to personally reply to every message that you send him. Due to TLA’s strict Page Rank requirements (qualifying sites must have a PR > 3), it ensures good rates per link sold for qualifying publishers.
I’ll keep this post short, since I have no real fresh content to post here, other than my appreciation for TLA and what it’s done for me over the past year.
If you haven’t done so already, do check them out, and let me know your experiences with them so far. From what I have read, many other bloggers out there are quite happy with them as well.

I love TLA too. They just approved my site for TLA ads and within 2 days had already sold an ad. The amount wasn’t a whole lot, but I thought that was an amazing turn around time. I can’t wait to sell more.

Is there a reason you don’t use Adsense or something like Yahoo Ads? I have been using adsense and have been pleased with the results.
In a world of affiliate marketing and ppc, I can see why a set income per month selling links would be nice. After doing a bit of research myself, I think I may give TLA a go on a couple of my sites.
Thank you for mentioning about the PR3 requirement of a site for TLA. Are there any other requirements besides this for acceptance into TLA. There is nothing explicitly mentioned on their site anyway.
From what everyone says TLA is a great money maker. I am waiting for Google´s update on PR to see if I qualify.
One a cost per pixel basis, nothing beats TLA for advertising revenues.

That’s a Yes to Adsense and Text Link Ads running concurrently: From their f.a.q: “Yes, Text Link Ads can be run along any ad system as we are not a contextually served product.”
