Text-Link-Ads Sold

Posted in Other Money Makers at 11:50 am by admin

I have just received an email from Patrick Gavin, the president of Text Link Ads, informing me that TLA has recently been purchased by MediaWhiz. Hopefully this will only bring better things for us publishers as the larger company will be able to market our text links better.

An excerpt from Patrick’s email:
“Publishers: by leveraging MediaWhiz’s agency relationships and sales staff we will be able to sell more ad space on your website. We also will be adding the ability to monetize your website in new ways including: CPA offers and CPM display advertising.”

This sounds very promising and hopefully will bring higher link sales in the coming months. For those who have not yet heard of Text Link Ads, read a review of them here, or check out their website at this address (aff).

It is a shame that this blog, like so many others that have come before it has bascially died a slow death.

For a while it was filled with great and very useful information. As I look back it was August when the last good (and unique) post was made. That was the post about doubling your page views.

Since then it was been useless updates about the text link company, the almost worthless updates on the Adsense keywords and a post about the most important previous posts.

I’d love to see this thing get going again and not die like so many blogs do after a short period of time.

Hey Alex,

As I was debating whether or not to remove this comment (as I usually do for comments which do not show this site under the best light), I realized that what you have said has been true.

The actual reason that posts have died down to the level which they have is that I have been very busy over the past few months working as a contract software developer. As my time is very limited between work, school, and this site, I must make decisions to maximize the utilization of it. The truth of the matter is that it comes down to deciding “Should I work on a new article for CyberWyre which will make me on average $XX.XX dollars over the life of the post, or should I finish my contract work which will make me $XXXX.XX dollars”.

In the end though, it’s just a numbers game and the larger one will win. I do have a number of posts scheduled up though for the next few weeks actually. I’ve had a bit of downtime in my other activities and had some time to write some articles. The next one is scheduled to be posted on Nov 11th.

Keep checking the site and there will be fresh content soon!

Thanks,
Matt
